I got £10 in my card from Nannie this morning. Apart from the fact that she's not sent me any money for years, I'm now trying to decide if I should spend it on something like a book or a cd or that kind of thing or should I put it towards my surgery?

This afternoon I met my aunt in town to go shopping for a suit. I'd be advised to try Burtons, George and also Slater Menswear. My aunt came round at 7.30pm last night and we walked down to visit my youngest cousin. I think he was probably a bit surprised to see us. Aunt took Chloe upstairs so that I could talk to my cousin and his wife first and then tell Chloe afterwards. Today is going to be a very nerve-wracking day. I am intending on coming out to my uncle and my two cousins, plus cousin's wife and my little 6 year old neice. I've written a letter for my uncle which I've had my aunt read over. He likes to have damn good reasons for anything, so I've had to put an awful lot of explanation in the letter.

I've been trying to get out of the house this week because we've got an electrician in rewiring the house so it's all chaotic and noisy. He's set up camp in my bedroom too which meant that I had to do a mass check to make sure there was no incriminating evidence lying around!

I felt a bit bad on Friday because I didn't have any candles to light for Shabbat. The book that I've been reading (Judaism for Dummies) says that if you've never celebrated Shabbat before to suddenly be completely observant can be a bit overwhelming so they suggest just lighting candles each week to start off with and sort of build it up from ( Read more... )
